Yankton CVB director says tourism could rebound quicker than other areas

YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The Yankton Convention and Visitors Bureau got almost $50,000 of CARES Act funding from the state to make up lost revenue due to the pandemic.

CVB Director Kasi Haberman says tourism is an important industry.

Haberman says they got the funding based on a revenue formula.

Haberman says state tourism could rebound quicker than other areas.

Haberman says more than 1,200 jobs in the area are connected to tourism.
