YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Flood damages are still being totaled from last week’s flooding.
Yankton County Commission Chairman Dan Klimisch says they will meet with towns and townships later this week to get some idea of what’s ahead.
Klimisch says they are prepared to pay the costs needed to start recovery.
Klimisch says at one time about seventy five percent of rural roads had water over them. He says there is still damage showing up.
The commission declared an emergency as the first step in possibly receiving state and federal aid.
