YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The City of Yankton has received applications to operate medical cannabis dispensaries.

City Manager Amy Leon says they will release more information in cooperation with the state.

Leon says there is a mix of applicants.

Leon says there may be more talks with the state about the applications.

Leon says its her understanding that the state will make the recommendation on who should get licenses. The city commission has decided a limit of two licenses will be enough to start with.
