YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Yankton Mayor Nathan Johnson says mixed messages from political leaders have an impact on the spread of the coronavirus.

Johnson says Governor Kristi Noem could do more to spread the message.

Johnson says the medical community is clear on the positive effects of wearing masks.

The state has had over 2,000 positive cases reported since Thursday.
