YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Yankton Middle School was locked down for a time Tuesday morning.

Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote was among the officers that responded.

Foote says they did a search of the school.

Foote says school officials followed their protocol.

Superintendent Wayne Kindle sent out the first notice of the lockdown just after 9AM. A follow up all clear was sent at 10:49AM.
