YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Active COVID-19 infections in Yankton County have risen to about 50 daily after being in the single numbers for most of the spring and early summer.

Yankton Mayor Nathan Johnson says they continue to watch those local infection numbers.

Johnson says they have not yet considered any further public reaction.

Johnson says the public is still getting mixed messages.

Johnson says city commissioners have not brought up any additional public health restrictions to add to their meeting agendas.
