YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Walkers on the Auld-Brokaw Trail in Yankton later this summer may see police hot wheeling on the path.

Police Chief Jason Foote had a proposal to the City Commission this week to buy two electric bikes for the department.

Foote says they plan to have one bike cop per shift.

Foote says they will get some training on using the bikes.

The city approved a bid of about ten thousand dollars for two electric bikes and associated equipment.
