YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Employers and cities across the region are reaching out to laid off workers from Molded Fiberglass in Aberdeen.

Rita Nelson with Yankton Thrive says they talked to a number of the workers.

The plant employed about three hundred workers when it shut down earlier this month.

Nelson says Yankton has a wide number of companies looking for workers.

Nelson says the laid off workers can be paid to travel to look for jobs.

Every large employer in Yankton has posted job openings.

The state Department of Labor has listed about thirty thousand job openings.
