YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- As part of the massive funding package from the state, the City of Yankton will get over fifteen million dollars in low interest loans for drinking water and wastewater pipeline replacements.
City Manager Amy Leon says these are necessary projects.
Leon says the state loan programs are the most cost efficient way to get these projects done.
Leon says it’s a major investment for the city.
The city also got over eighteen million dollars in state and federal grants to help pay for the forty million dollar upgrade at the wastewater plant.
The city of Aberdeen is receiving over fifty-one million dollars for their water projects.
