YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The last Friday in September is when school districts across South Dakota take their official enrollment headcount.

Yankton School Superintendent Wayne Kindle says they now wait for the state Department of Education to certify their numbers.

Kindle says they will see another bump in student numbers.

Kindle says the increase is spread out across all the grade levels.

The district reported enrollment of just over twenty-nine hundred fifty last year.
