Yankton County passed resolution declaring Second Amendment Sanctuary Counties

YANKTON & ONIDA, S.D.(WNAX & DRGNews)- The Yankton County Commission this week approved a resolution in support of the Second Amendment.

Bruce Cull of Yankton brought the resolution to the commission.

Cull says the resolution mirrors one passed by the legislature this year.

That resolution passed in the House by a 65-5 margin and in the Senate by a vote of 33-2.

Commissioner Joe Healy was concerned about the precedent this type of resolution could set.

The resolution passed on a 4-1 vote.

Yankton joins Bennett, Pennington, Stanley, & Hughes Counties as Second Amendment Sanctuary Counties.
