YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The Yankton City Commission agreed to help fund transportation costs for upcoming archery tournaments.

The U.S. Archery National Field Championships next year and the Hyundai (hun-die) World Archery Championship in 2021 will be held at the National Field Archery Association facility in Yankton.

NFAA President Bruce Cull told the commission the 2021 event is a big one.

Cull says all the countries that compete in Olympic archery have to be at this event.

Cull says there will be a lot of media attention.

The commission approved a total of $65,000 for the two tournaments.
