Recount requested for council seat in Brookings

BROOKINGS, S.D.(KJJQ)- A recount has been requested in the Brookings City Council race for a one-year term. (The term is so short because it’s filling the remainder of now-Mayor Ope Niemeyer’s council term). Brianna Doran won the race over Andrew Rassmussen by just nine votes, 1279 to 1270.
