No new COVID-19 deaths reported in today

Federal Reserve will not raise interest rates
WASHINGTON, D.C.(WNAX)- The Federal Reserve has indicated they will not raise interest rates for the next couple of years. South Dakota Bankers Association President Karl Adam says that is reassuring to businesses and farmers. Adam says those low rates are not good for savers. Some fifteen-year mortgage rates have fallen below two percent.
USDA’s Farm Service Agency suspending payments on farm loans due

SD Board of Regents provide update on their business & financial practices
PIERRE, SD(WNAX)- A task force is working through the details of a bill passed by the South Dakota legislature last year. SB-55 mandated that the Board of Regents study their business and financial practices and come up with a report by November of this year. Regents Executive Director Brian Maher says he clearly heard the question. Maher says the task force meets again this spring. Maher appeared before the legislatures Joint Committee on Appropriations.
