House Health and Human Services Committee defeat HCR6012(COVID-19)

PIERRE, S.D. (SDBA) — An attempt to re-litigate the nation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic failed Tuesday in the House Health and Human Services Committee. Holiday Garbage Change

Brown County Commission decided which business will replace the Holum Expo roof

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission decided on the bids Tuesday on the cost to replace the roof at the Holum Expo building at the Brown County Fairgrounds.  The two bids came from North Central Steel Systems of Aberdeen & MLC Construction of Worthing, S.D. Brown County Fair Manager Rachel Kippley offered the board’s recommendation.

Brown County Commission receive bids on 2024 Microsurfacing Project

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission received bids on the upcoming Microsurfacing Project.  IMEG estimated the engineer’s cost at $1, 631,357.05.  The commission received three bids total. Brown County Commission receive a report of the Brown County Fair Foundation

South Dakota Senate fails to pass HB1043(Lithium tax)

SB32(Fairgrounds bill) has hearing date set for Wednesday

South Dakota Education Secretary Graves address teacher pay

PIERRE, S.D.(KELO)- The South Dakota Legislature has been trying to push teacher pay higher for several years. This year, they’re working to put some teeth into their efforts. State Education Secretary Dr. Joseph Graves testified on the latest compensation proposal Monday. South Dakota ranks 49th in the nation for average teacher pay.
