(KXLG) — In a voice message to parents Wednesday Watertown Intermediate School Principal Jennifer Bollinger informed parents that an alert staff member at the school observed an unloaded handgun in a special education student’s backpack. PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — A new report shows that serious crime in South Dakota declined last year. The report released Tuesday by Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg defines serious crimes as those against person, property or society.
